Facilities Assistant, Health & Safety – Business Services

Leigh Day’s London office is currently seeking to appoint a Facilities Assistant (Health and Safety), to join the Business Services Department to be involved in 50% health and safety matters and 50% office facilities related tasks.  This role would ideally suit pro-active, reliable, friendly and energetic individual who enjoy working in a business environment.

Main tasks and responsibilities;
• To provide assistance with all aspects of health and safety at all sites, including work place risk assessments, maintenance of health and safety equipment and updating relevant documentation.
• To assist with the management of building services including access/security control, M&E and fabric maintenance.
• Assist the Office Facilities Supervisor to run the Facilities Service Desk.
• Provide archiving support to members of the firm to enable files to be sent off site.
• To share responsibility for the procurement of all supplies and services with the agreed remit.

To be successful you must be able to;
• Previous relevant office facilities experience is a must along with relevant health and safety experience.
• Experience within a busy legal practice or other professional services organisation is a preferable.
• Previous experience in conducting risk assessments.
• Ability to demonstrate a strong customer service and a ‘hands-on’ approach.
• Ability to work independently and also as part of a team, influencing both colleagues and clients where appropriate.
