Alleged abuse by former teacher Neil Bibby at Dr Challoner’s Grammar School investigated by lawyer
Leigh Day abuse lawyer Dino Nocivelli has been instructed by a client who allegedly suffered childhood sexual abuse at Dr Challoner’s Grammar School in Buckinghamshire in the 1980s and is appealing for information.
Posted on 13 July 2023
The client describes sexual abuse by Neil Bibby, a teacher at the school, on numerous occasions in the 1980s, including during a trip to Germany.
The alleged assaults have severely affected the client’s life to the current day and although his abuser has died, he is looking to obtain answers and a sense of accountability from this civil case.
Bibby was questioned by the police in about 2002 for child abuse offences and died during the criminal investigation.
As a result, the client and other boys will never be able to obtain closure from the criminal justice system.
Dino Nocivelli said:
“My client and I are appealing for information from any former pupils or staff members at the grammar school who may be able to help with our investigation. Neil Bibby’s actions detailed by my client have had a devastating, lifelong impact, particularly as he cannot obtain justice through the criminal justice system following Bibby’s death. We are hopeful that any relevant information obtained will help with our civil case and provide my client with some closure.”
