Clinical negligence lawyers to hold a legal clinic for families with maternity services concerns

Medical negligence lawyer Suzanne White and her team will be holding a legal clinic in the Leigh Day Leeds office for those with birth injury concerns.

Posted on 19 November 2024

The legal clinic will take place at the Leigh Day Leeds office at 1 City Square, Leeds LS1 2AL (near Leeds station) on Wednesday 27 November from 10am to 4pm. Tea and biscuits will also be available.

The clinic will be free and does not require booking to attend.

Suzanne White, a partner at Leigh Day where she heads the medical negligence team, will be joined by Leeds-based Leigh Day solicitor Matthew Westlake to offer legal support to families affected by birth injury. Triage team manager, midwife Helen Stanley will also be attending to offer specialist advice from a maternity professional’s perspective.

Suzanne White said:

“It is so important for families affected by birth injury to have their story told and listened to. So often families are left wondering why things went wrong and are left without that closure needed to move forward."

Solicitor Matthew Westlake added:

“I hope that this clinic will provide an opportunity for mothers and families to voice any concerns with the care that they have received.”
