Finsbury Orthopaedics Ltd was acquired by DePuy in December 2009. DePuy distributed the ADEPT Hip Resurfacing System under the Finsbury label until September 2011, at which time the ADEPT Hip Resurfacing System was acquired by MatOrtho Ltd. MatOrtho Ltd, the current manufactures of the ADEPT Hip Resurfacing System have also issued a FSN and advised that head sizes of less than 48mm in diameter and corresponding acetabular cups will no longer be marketed.

Leigh Day has been approached by several patients who have been implanted with the ADEPT Hip Resurfacing System.

Patients that have been implanted with devices that are shown to be defective are entitled to substantial compensation for their pain, suffering and financial loss.”

Medical device lawyers at Leigh Day are currently acting on behalf of over 750 claimants who have been implanted with metal on metal hip implants and we are experts in the field.
