LawCare is a charity with a mission to help the legal community with personal or professional concerns that may be affecting their mental health and wellbeing and promote understanding of how and when to seek help, without fear or stigma.

LawCare helps all branches of the legal profession: solicitors, barristers, barrister’s clerks, judges, Chartered Legal Executives, paralegals, trade mark attorneys, patent agents, costs lawyers and their staff and families. The support spans the entire gamut of legal life from student, to training, to practice and into retirement.

Law can be a demanding profession and dealing with regulatory issues or facing professional disciplinary scrutiny can be extremely stressful. LawCare provides support to legal professionals through guidance on its website and its free, independent and confidential helpline, which is open 365 days a year. LawCare’s staff and volunteers have worked in the law and understand the demands of legal education, training and practice. Further details about the helpline can be found on the LawCare website.
