Law firm Leigh Day is sponsoring WOMB Summer Festival, an event which centres on women’s health and wellbeing.

The festival looks to promote menstrual wellness, maternity, and menopause through a range of activities such as workshops, panel talks, and crafts. The festival will also host a marketplace featuring the work of local artists, charities, and holistic practitioners.
WOMB, a community interest company, focuses on menstrual health and wellbeing, and provides online and in-person classes, events and services in Cardiff. The festival was created by Sinnead Ali, a menstrual specialist, doula, and yoga teacher with the aim of creating a space for sharing wisdom and sense of community.
As the main sponsor of the festival, Leigh Day will be running a stall to discuss the impacts of medical negligence in maternity and women’s health.
The festival takes place on Saturday 6 July, at Grange Pavilion Cardiff CF11 7LJ from 10am to 5pm. Tickets are on sale on Eventbrite for £16.96 for general admission, or for free for under 16’s and Grangetown residents.
Sinnead Ali said:
“Our goal with WOMB Festival is to bring essential conversations about menstrual, maternity, and menopause wellness to the forefront, particularly for those from the global majority who face significant health disparities.
“There is a need for anti-oppressive spaces not just for education but for girls, women and people who menstruate to celebrate their cyclical bodies.
“We envision a day of celebration and education for all attendees.”
Suzanne White, partner and head of Leigh Day’s medical negligence department, said:
“I am pleased that Leigh Day is sponsoring such an important event. Creating safe community spaces where women can share knowledge and support each other is vital.”
