Dino Nocivelli specialises in acting for child sexual abuse survivors and has expertise in cases such as abuse in schools, sports, religious institutions, Scouts, dance and other areas.
Earlier this year, Dino achieved a settlement for a large group of former Horris Hill School pupils. The former students alleged sexual abuse from when they were between eight and 13-years-old. The survivors also received written apologies from the Horris Hill Foundation, a charity that ran the school whilst they were pupils there.
Seen & Heard is a newly established not-for-profit organisation which seeks to support the emotional well-being of current and former pupils of boarding and independent day schools and their families.
The CIC (Community Interest Company) provides support services and signposting to former pupils through their website, and to current students by engaging with schools and governing bodies.
Seen & Heard advocate IICSA (Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse) recommendations to be acted upon, mandatory reporting, changes to childhood sexual abuse limitation laws, and for the introduction of a code of conduct for schools when handling abuse complaints.
Seen & Heard director, Chris Braitch commented:
“I am excited to have the support of one of the top abuse lawyers in the country, and a man that has the passion and courage of his convictions to advocate for victims’ rights, and meaningful change.”
Leigh Day human rights partner Dino Nocivelli said:
“I am looking forward to supporting Seen & Heard through raising awareness, campaigning, and mentoring this organisation on their mission to support current and ex-pupils, and their families.”

Former pupils settle cases for alleged child sexual abuse by teachers at school
A large group of former pupils have settled their civil cases for their claims of sexual abuse suffered as children by two men who were teachers and house masters at Horris Hill School in the years spanning the 1960s to the 1990s.
