Mothercare withdraws travel swings because of risk of injury
Threat to babies' safety leads to product recall by Mothercare

Popular high street chain Mothercare has announced that they are voluntarily recalling a number of their travel swings due a potential risk of injury to babies. The voluntary recall follows real concerns that a child’s movement may cause the swing to fall forward and tip over with the baby inside.
The recall relates to a number of travel swings including:
- Mothercare ‘Loved So Much’ Travel Swing
- Mothercare ‘Little Circus’ Travel Swing
- Mothercare ‘My Jungle Family’ Travel Swing
- Mothercare ‘Please Look After Me Bear’ Travel Swing
The travel swings have been on sale in Mothercare stores and on their website from as early as June 2009. If you own one of these travel swings, Mothercare have advised to stop using them immediately to protect the safety and well-being of any children from potential harm.

When a product is purchased from a specialist baby products retailer such as Mothercare, parents are entitled to expect that it has been designed, tested and marketed with the safety of a child in mind and if the product is found to be defective and has caused harm, compensation would be payable.”
