Asbestos claims in Liverpool

Partner Kevin Johnson holds multiple accreditations as a specialist in asbestos and occupational disease claims and is a Fellow of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. Kevin manages our Liverpool office. He has more than 25 years' experience of acting for victims of asbestos exposure, and has represented people who have worked in the heavy industries of the North West such as dockworkers, shipyard workers, Merchant Navy seamen, construction workers and engineers.

Kevin has acted for asbestos sufferers in some of the leading test cases. He is a member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel and sits on the Oversight Committee of the Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme where he represents asbestos sufferers.

Partner Joanne Candlish also works in the asbestos team, based in the firm’s Liverpool office. Joanne is an APIL accredited Senior Litigator, Asbestos and Occupational Disease Specialist, with over 31 years’ experience dealing with asbestos cases. She joined Leigh Day in January 2024 having previously worked at a number of claimant law firms.
