Joe Snape is an senior associate solicitor in the international department working on environmental and human rights litigation, including representing over 13,000 individuals in the Ogale and Bille communities who have suffered devastating oil pollution caused by Shell’s operations in the Niger Delta.

Legal expertise

Joe joined Leigh Day in December 2022 having previously worked at another human rights firm in the UK and for climate law organisations both in the UK and in Mexico.

Joe is also a trustee of the Access to Justice Foundation, which is the UK’s largest funder of legal advice providers and law centres.
