Support for survivors of abuse

Seeking legal advice on a civil claim of compensation for abuse can be an enormous step for many, but it can eventually lead to recourse and acknowledgement from a defendant.

Whilst everybody should have access to obtain justice for the wrongs which they have been subjected to, having a readily-accessible support network can make a huge difference in maintaining, or improving, mental health.

Making a criminal complaint or bringing a civil claim can be a stressful process. As such we are often asked to signpost clients to an appropriate support service, and have therefore worked closely with a number of specialist charities to ensure survivors of abuse receive the best care available to them.

If you are struggling with your mental health it is important that you speak to your GP or other healthcare professional. However, for several reasons, appropriate mental health services may not be readily accessible to many people. If this is the case you can also contact any of the relevant organisations below, who may be able to provide you with the information or support which you require.
