Credit Controller – Personal Injury

Leigh Day’s Manchester office is currently seeking to appoint a Credit Controller to join the Personal Injury Department.  This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with an award winning, specialist ‘claimant’ law firm, consistently ranked by legal directories as national leaders. Main tasks and responsibilities;
• Chasing all allocated overdue debts to clients
• To be responsible for recovery and/or administration of costs and disbursements in settled and unsuccessful cycling cases
• Contact third party insurers to ensure all costs and disbursements paid in full
• Liaise with relevant external suppliers/clients negotiating reduced fees where applicable
• Ensure a nil balance for all settled cases to enable file closure

To be successful you must have;
• Genuine interest to work with a leading claimant law firm and passionate about providing access to justice to all
• 1-2 years previous credit control experience gained within a law firm or other professional practice preferred but not essential
• Ability to communicate accurately, clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to deal sensitively with clients
• Experience in using a variety of IT packages (MS Word, Excel, Case Management Systems, Outlook)
• Ability to work well under pressure and contribute within a team environment

This is a Permanent, full-time position based in Manchester
