HR Manager (Recruitment) – Business Services

Leigh Day is urgently seeking to appoint an HR Manager to lead our busy recruitment team.

Key tasks and responsibilities;
• Liaising with multiple stakeholders to understand resourcing needs and deliver excellent recruitment assistance.
• Managing 2x junior recruitment team members.
• Manage and maintain external agency and job board relationships.
• Manage the generation of all relevant recruitment collateral (i.e. job descriptions, adverts assessments and interview questions) and where necessary, assist in hiring managers in the interview process.
• Manage Trainee Solicitor recruitment programme with a team of partners.
• Working with the HR Director on other HR Projects including improving diversity and inclusion across the recruitment process, salary reviews and implementing an application tracker system for non-trainee recruitment.

To be successful you must have; 
• Experience of managing recruitment preferably within a professional services environment.
• Good academic background and a CIPD qualification.
• Experience in providing HR advice.
• Ability to build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven experience in managing others effectively.
• Ability to deal with a busy workload.
• An interest in the type of work that Leigh Day undertakes for clients.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in London.

HR Manager – Business Services

Leigh Day is urgently seeking to appoint a HR Manager for our Manchester office. This is a new role and an excellent opportunity to take on a busy role that will need someone able to roll up their sleeves and deal with a wide range of HR issues.

Key tasks and responsibilities;

Recruitment
• Preparing and updating job descriptions, adverts, longlists and working with the recruitment team in London to ensure jobs are posted to the website, intranet and job boards.
• Assisting with interviews.
• Building effective relationships with recruitment agencies in Manchester.
• Working on firm-wide recruitment initiatives, graduate recruitment, summer work placement and brand building exercises with schools/universities.

Operations
• Delivering induction sessions for new joiners to the Manchester Office.
• Responding to HR queries for Manchester staff.
• Ensuring new starters, leavers, probations and expiry of fixed term contracts within the Manchester Office are managed appropriately in accordance with firm processes.
• Undertaking exit interviews and reporting any issues of concern to the HR Manager Operations and HR Director.
• Ensuring any Manchester payroll items are sent to the HR Manager in London every month.

To be successful you must have; 
• Sound HR knowledge and experience covering operations and recruitment.
• Pragmatic approach to solving problems.
• Ability to establish trust and build relationships at all levels.
• Previous experience of working in a law firm is preferred or a similar professional services environment (e.g. accountancy, management consultancy).

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Manchester. Part time hours may be possible.
