Media Relations Manager – Business Services

Leigh Day is seeking to appoint a dynamic, digitally savvy professional as its Media Relations Manager. It is an excellent opportunity to join a coveted, award winning, specialist law firm, with one of the highest legal media profiles in UK and around the world.

Key tasks and responsibilities;
Working directly with the Head of Media Relations and the Marketing team, the role holder will be co-ordinating interaction with journalists, whilst monitoring opportunities and efficiently acting upon emerging stories and provide reports on media coverage to Senior Management. S/he would also be drafting website content, and maintaining content on Leigh Day’s social media channels.  

To be successful you must have;
- demonstrable media relations experience,sound understanding of media law and excellent knowledge of current affairs.
- excellent understanding of social media, with demonstrable knowledge of utilising Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube as media channels.
- excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate accurately, clearly and concisely to journalists.
- demonstrable experience of working within a busy environment, in order to manage campaigns on tight deadlines and prioritise workload to maximise news impact.
- intermediate level proficiency in working with MS Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Outlook), HTML and CMS platforms.
- a good understanding and appreciation of Leigh Day values and ethos.

Professional Ethics and Compliance Officer – Business Services

Leigh Day is seeking to appoint a Professional Ethics and Compliance Officer (PE&CO). This is a new role and would appeal to a risk and compliance specialist, who would like to play an active role in developing and maintaining ethical standards within a coveted, award winning, ‘claimant’ law firm renowned for ground breaking cases.

Reporting directly to the Professional Ethics and Compliance Manager the role will involve;
- Offering support on queries on regulatory requirement and internal compliance processes, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and individual conflicts and confidentiality.
- Management of risk and compliance registers, and pro-actively monitoring action plans and their effectiveness to improve standards.
- Supporting the DPO with the delivery of information security and GDPR requirements.
- Improvement of format and content of reporting in order to remain compliant with procedures, and working alongside the IT team to develop compliant processes.
- Working alongside the Learning and Development team on compliance training requirements.

 To be successful you must have;
- Demonstrable experience of working within a risk & compliance role in a legal services environment is a must.
- Proven ability to be pro-active, when managing individual projects to improve compliance standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrable knowledge of researching, analysing, and drafting compliance procedures and policies.
- A good understanding of AML Regulations and conflicts within a legal environment.
- A good understanding of Data Protection legislation.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proven ability to adapt and be able to work in a busy professional working environment.
- The highest professional ethical standards.
- A good understanding and appreciation of Leigh Day values and ethos.

Senior Marketing Manager – Business Services

Leigh Day is seeking to appoint a Senior Marketing Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a coveted, award winning, specialist ‘claimant’ law firm known for ground breaking cases and having one of the highest legal media profiles in UK and around the world. 

Due to the continued growth of the business and increasing challenges in the market in which Leigh Day operates, we are seeking to strenbgthen the Marketing function by bringing on board a Senior Marketing Manager with significant experience and drive. It would ideally suit a senior marketing professional looking for a wide generalist role across communications, digital marketing, strategy, CRM database, events and NGO management.

Key tasks and responsibilities;
- Work closely with the Associate Director of Marketing and Business Development, to assist Partners with developing their practice areas and generate new cases.
- Act as a Business Partner with key departmental client groups, identifying marketing objectives, and proposing strategies and tactics to deliver against them.
- Lead and manage the operations side of the Marketing team.
- Deputise for the Head of Marketing in his absence.

To be successful you must have;  
- Significant senior marketing and communications management experience gained within the legal sector.
- Ability to demonstrate maturity, gravitas and advanced interpersonal skills to quickly build trust and confidence with Partners and to influence and build consensus around ideas.
- Proven experience of independently managing marketing projects from conception to execution, coupled with, substantial experience of generating and delivering marketing communication across multiple channels, including, digital marketing/social media, and managing a range of events.
- Substantial user experience of CRM, E-marketing software and in generating reports.
- Proven experience in managing, mentoring junior marketing members and leading by example along with the ability to demonstrate patience, resilience and tenacity.
- Genuine interest to work with a leading claimant law firm and passionate about providing access to justice to all.
