Leigh Day was established in 1987 and has been involved in many distinct cases since. Over the past year, those newly promoted to partner have been involved in representing clients in a wide range of cases including:
Malawian tobacco farmers against British American Tobacco accusing them of forced labour; the family of
Owen Carey who died following an allergic reaction after eating at Byron Burger; a group of
judges challenging changes made by the Government to their pensions; and for tens of thousands of supermarket workers taking
equal pay claims against Asda, Sainsbury’s and Tesco.
Frances Swaine, Managing Partner at Leigh Day, said:
“The promotions in both the Manchester and London offices, include eleven solicitors to partner level and eight to associate level. We are continuing to support individuals at this time during the current health crisis and these promotions will strengthen those teams in order to provide this support.”
