Human rights lawyers at Leigh Day have been named runners-up in the Best Use of Law category at the 2026 National Campaigner Awards, hosted by the Sheila McKechnie Foundation (SMK), for its legal work helping to secure a reversal by Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) in significant academic freedom case.
Tribunal to hear NHS doctor’s discrimination claim over suspension linked to Gaza social media posts
A British Jordanian NHS doctor bringing discrimination and harassment claims after he was suspended from his job at the Royal Free Hospital in London following a complaint about his social media posts relating to the treatment of Palestinians in Gaza will have his case heard at the London Central Employment Tribunal from 15 June 2026.
Grenada community group considers legal action over Woodford’s Rayneau Development
A community organisation in Grenada has put the country’s Planning and Development Authority on notice of potential legal action over the approval and ongoing construction of a major industrial development in Woodford, St John.
