Lucie Wallbridge
Associate solicitor
Lucie is an associate solicitor in the medical negligence department.
Lucie joined Leigh Day in August 2021 as a paralegal within the clinical negligence department, acting on behalf of patients and their families in cases involving negligent medical care. After qualifying in October 2024, Lucie joined Maria Panteli’s team as an Associate solicitor.
Prior to qualification Lucie trained under Olive Lewin and assisted on a variety of complex and high value medical negligence cases involving cerebral palsy, brain damage from neonatal hypoglycaemia, undiagnosed TB meningitis, cauda equina and other spinal related injuries.
Lucie currently assists Maria Panteli on a wide variety of cases with a focus on maternal health, including injuries to mothers during childbirth such as third and fourth degree perineal tears, cerebral palsy, stillbirth and neonatal deaths. Lucie also has experience working on claims involving the delayed diagnosis of cancer, surgical errors and represents bereaved families at inquest following the death of family members in a hospital setting.
Legal expertise
Recent successes include assisting with obtaining high value settlements for several clients, for instance:
- A child with cerebral palsy as a result of a birth injury;
- A man who suffered quadriplegia following a delay of diagnosis of TB
- A man who suffered a severe injury as a result of a delay in diagnosis of tongue cancer.
Education
Prior to undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Law, Lucie read Politics and International Relations.
Lucie graduated with a distinction in her Master’s in Law with the Legal Practice Course from the University of Law in 2021.
