  • The Government has agreed that it will consider further claims for compensation from Porton Down veterans up to 30th June 2008. Dennis Thomas is one of those who received compensation from the Ministry of Defence after being exposed to sarin. 30 June 2008
  • The personal injury department at leading law firm Leigh Day has successfully negotiated compensation payments for a number of Polish nationals injured in the UK. 25 June 2008
  • Medway Hospital has paid a substantial sum to a Leigh Day client suffering from prostate cancer. He was represented by clinical negligence partner Nicola Wainwright 12 June 2008
  • The cases relate to “employers liability insurance” - the insurance policies which are often claimed against by asbestos victims who develop diseases several decades after they were exposed by their employers. 11 June 2008
  • The High Court has today granted permission to a British resident, Binyam Mohamed, currently incarcerated at Guantánamo, to pursue his case against the British Government. 3 June 2008
  • A narrative verdict was handed down on 30th May 2008 by Her Majesty’s Coroner, Andrew Walker, at Hornsey Coroner’s Court into the death of Ana Maria Denzo, the tenth maternal death at Northwick Park Hospital between April 2002 and March 2005. 2 June 2008
