Leigh Day to co-host conference and INQUEST charity fundraiser
Law firm Leigh Day is set to jointly host the charity INQUEST’s Northern Conference and fundraising quiz.
Posted on 08 September 2025
The event will be co-hosted with Garden Court North chambers and Ison Harrison solicitors, and will feature expert speakers covering topics including case law updates, working with bereaved people, and inquest practicalities.
The conference will take place on 18 September at Manchester Hall in Manchester. Leigh Day human rights team partner Leanne Devine from Leigh Day’s Liverpool office will be a panel speaker alongside Anna Morris KC and Kate Stone from Garden Court North and Ison Harrison partner Gemma Vine.
Proceeds from the day, which will also feature a fundraising quiz event after the conference, will go towards INQUEST, which provides expert advice and support to bereaved people whose deaths relate to potential failures by the state.
The event will also see the screening of INQUEST’s new documentary The UK Is Not Innocent, which explores the evolution of INQUEST and investigates 40 years of state violence and resistance in England and Wales.
