Action Against the Police Inquests

Lufu is a paralegal in the Actions Against the Police team at Leigh Day, working with Yvonne Kestler, Senior Associate.

Lufu assists Yvonne on civil claims against the police, complaints and misconduct proceedings, and inquests involving public authorities. She assists on a wide range of civil claims including unlawful arrest, false imprisonment, assault, malicious prosecution, and claims under the Equality Act and Human Rights Act.

Experience

Lufu joined Leigh Day after having worked as a paralegal in legal aid firms in areas of housing, homelessness, community care, claims against prisons and actions against the police. She is passionate about access to justice.

Education

Lufu graduated from the University of Warwick with a first-class degree in Politics and International Studies before pursuing her Graduate Diploma in Law and Bar Vocational Studies, completing both with distinction.
