Legal expertise

Lisa is an expert in asbestos related disease claims and is wholly dedicated to securing justice for victims.  With over 29 years’ experience as an industrial disease lawyer, Lisa has dedicated over 15 years representing clients in asbestos compensation claims.

Lisa always approaches her clients and their families with care and compassion.  With an impressive background in handling claims for industrial and occupational diseases, such as vibration white finger (VWF), work related deafness and work related stress, Lisa uses her experience to get the best deal for clients.

In addition, Lisa uses her vast knowledge of the illnesses and life expectancy associated with asbestos exposure to secure the best outcome for her clients.  Lisa works quickly and efficiently and handles all cases with the utmost care and sensitivity.

Lisa has successfully obtained compensation in a range of complex asbestos cases and endeavours to secure the maximum amount of compensation for her clients in the shortest possible time.  This includes obtaining interim payments of damages to allow clients to pay for private medical treatment and achieving settlements which allows them to continue to claim the costs of medical treatment in the future, including immunotherapy. She has also obtained settlements for clients with asbestosis and pleural thickening which allows them to return to court in the future if their condition deteriorates or they develop a more serious asbestos related condition.

In such a complex area of law, Lisa is well equipped to analyse the evidence relating to exposure levels and to consider detailed engineering and medical evidence with which to pursue claims to trial.

In addition to helping individuals who have developed an asbestos related illness, Lisa represents their distressed and, sometimes grieving, families through the legal ordeal.

Lisa’s job satisfaction comes from knowing she has done the best for her clients who are stricken by this most terrible disease.  She is proud to have only ever acted for those who have been injured, never for insurance companies or employers.

Lisa joined Leigh Day in September 2025 having previously worked in another law firm, representing personal injury victims only.  She holds a degree in Law and qualified as a Fellow with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in August 2002. Lisa has also held the status of an APIL accredited Senior Litigator, Asbestos and Occupational Disease Specialist,

She regularly participates in events and meetings with medical professionals, lung cancer nurses and asbestos victim support groups.

What clients say

Thank you so much for all your hard work and attention to detail in such a difficult situation. We will always remember and be grateful for the way you dealt with us. They clearly tried to ‘monkey around’ with the wrong lawyer!
