She has supported NGOs, campaigners, and individuals in high-profile cases since joining the firm in 2021. Leila's work particularly focuses on public law, information rights, and the rights of refugees and migrants.

Leila also works on civil claims for compensation with Waleed Sheikh, Partner in the Human Rights Department and has also previously worked on submissions to the International Criminal Court over crimes committed in the occupied Palestinian territory.

  • Department for Business and Trade (Respondent) v The Information Commissioner (Appellant) [UKSC/2023/0178] - assisted the lawyers in representing Mr Montague, the Interested Party who made the original FOIA request
