Amy has more than 8 years' experience in dealing with medical negligence claims. She has significant litigation experience and has succeeded at trial.

Legal expertise

Amy brings extensive experience in medical negligence, having worked across a broad spectrum of cases involving delays in diagnosis and treatment, misdiagnosis, surgical errors, and prescription or medication mistakes.

Amy’s expertise spans a wide range of injuries, including perineal tears, pressure ulcers, spinal and head injuries, fractures, and sepsis.

Amy also has significant experience handling sensitive and complex fatal claims, including cases involving stillbirth and neonatal death. These matters require a distinct approach, and Amy is well-equipped to navigate the legal and emotional complexities with care and professionalism.

Further experience

Amy began her legal career following graduation in 2017. She joined Slater and Gordon Lawyers in 2020 shortly after qualifying and in 2024 Amy was promoted to Associate. In 2025 Amy joined Leigh Day as an associate working directly with Julia Reynolds, Partner and head of medical negligence in Cardiff.

Education

Amy studied Law at Coventry University between 2014 and 2017 before undertaking the CILEx professional exams. Amy qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in October 2020.
