  • Martyn Day, senior partner at law firm Leigh Day & Co, has announced that the Ministry of Defence has settled a claim for £3m and that the Government is to apologise to the Porton Down veterans in the House of Commons. 31 January 2008
  • On Monday Leigh Day obtained orders from the High Court for the release of two Algerian nationals who have been held in long term immigration detention with no prospect of release. The two men had been detained for periods of 15 and 17 months following completion of short criminal sentences and pending deportation to Algeria. 28 January 2008
