Work experience placements

Summer work placement schemes 2019
Aims and purpose - Leigh Day believes that the work it does, and the people it helps, places it in a unique position within the legal community, and that social mobility and diversity should be encouraged in the career opportunities that we offer.
Barriers to entering the legal community do not start at the stage of obtaining training or a job, and Leigh Day recognises the importance of work experience in addressing particular barriers for those groups that are underrepresented in the legal community.
The summer placements offered aim to provide a real learning experience for those who are from these sectors in society and who have a commitment to pursuing a career in claimant litigation.
Number of placements available in 2019 - Leigh Day is offering internship schemes for the summer of 2019 within its Human Rights, Employment and International Departments.

  • Internship - This scheme is open to undergraduate, graduate students, those with legal qualifications (law degree, GDL, LPC), as well as those with alternative vocational training, or career changers.
Internship placements will last for two weeks between end of July and start of September 2019. This is a paid scheme and successful interns will be paid £11.81 per hour for the duration of their internship.
