  • x 2 Arabic Speaking Paralegal – International & Group Claims Department – Ref: ASP/IGC/SL/MAY17

    Leigh Day is urgently Two Arabic Speaking Paralegals to join its highly acclaimed International and Groups Claim Department. This is a highly challenging role and the successful candidate will assist a Partner within a team of other solicitors and paralegals.
        
    Leigh Day is a specialist law firm operating across international, product liability, personal injury, human rights, clinical negligence, employment and discrimination. Over the last twenty five years the International & Group Claims Department have been involved in ground-breaking cases against multinational corporations and government authorities and bodies. We fight human rights abuses by the British Government, sometimes righting historic wrongs on behalf of hundreds or even thousands of individuals.     This role will primarily focus on our Iraqi Civilian caseload. It will involve extensive client contact, especially over the telephone. The successful candidate will mainly be interviewing clients and translating various documents as well as carrying out some administrative work.  

    The ideal candidate must be fluent in Arabic and English with excellent Arabic speaking, reading and writing skills. Candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication coupled with strong client servicing skills and should be able to deal with clients in an appropriate professional manner. S/he should be computer literate with advanced Word, Excel and Access skills. We are looking for hard-working and proactive individuals who are able to use their initiative and are able to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.   • Paralegal – Personal Injury Department – Ref: PARA/PI/CE/KD/MAY17

    Owing to an exciting period of growth, we are seeking to hire an experienced Paralegal with relevant experience within our Personal Injury Department.  The successful candidate will hold a responsible position in supporting the solicitor with a caseload of multi-track catastrophic, serious injury claims.

    The role involves meeting clients, drafting documents, producing general correspondence, liaising with clients and third parties, undertaking legal and other research and providing general administrative support. The successful candidates will also be able to sort and produce a review of medical and financial records, liaise with medical professionals, financial institutions and other solicitors.

    The highly acclaimed PI Department represents claimants who have suffered catastrophic injuries, including amputation, brain injury and spinal injuries and accidents at work, construction site accidents and road traffic accidents. The PI Department has a highly successful asbestos and industrial disease practice. In the last ten years they have successfully secured millions of pounds in compensation for clients.     The ideal candidate must have relevant claimant paralegal experience in Personal Injury. Multi Track experience is highly preferred but not essential. S/he will have a good academic background and relevant legal qualification will be highly advantageous. The successful candidate will be conscientious, computer-literate with excellent literacy and drafting skills in English. Along with being a strong team player, candidates should be able to deal with clients in a sympathetic and compassionate manner.
