Leigh Day expands Liverpool presence with new personal injury solicitor

Law firm Leigh Day has expanded its presence in Liverpool with the addition of personal injury lawyer Dave Eyres, who joins the firm as a senior associate solicitor.

Posted on 21 July 2026

Dave joins Leigh Day after several years as a solicitor at Fletchers Group, and specialises in representing people who have sustained life-changing injuries.

This includes people who have suffered brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, paraplegia, and limb loss. He has worked with numerous clients to achieve high-value settlements.

Dave works closely with rehabilitation teams, specialist barristers and support groups to ensure clients have access to the care, equipment and resources they need.

Dave joins a growing personal injury team in Liverpool, with Leigh Day having welcomed personal injury lawyer Ged Horton as a partner in its Liverpool office in September 2025.

The firm’s personal injury team in Merseyside also extends to specialist asbestos lawyers, with Leigh Day partners Kevin Johnson and Joanne Candlish both based in the firm’s Liverpool office.

Prior to qualifying as a lawyer, Dave worked in sports journalism as a television producer for the BBC and Sky.

Dave Eyres said:

“I’m delighted to be joining Leigh Day, as the firm grows and strengthens its personal injury presence in Liverpool and the North West. The firm has a great reputation in the legal world, and I look forward to getting to work here supporting and representing people who have suffered serious and often life-changing injuries.”
