Lucy Wilson
Associate solicitor
Lucy is an Associate solicitor working in the personal injury department in Leeds.
I joined the Leeds office of Leigh Day as a newly qualified solicitor in March 2025. I assist Senior Associate Bethany Greenwood on catastrophic injury claims, including cases involving amputation, severe orthopaedic trauma, brain injury and spinal cord injury. Most notably, since joining the team, I have assisted on a complex mild traumatic brain injury case, quickly building a strong rapport with the client and her family. Despite challenging issues around liability and causation, the claim successfully concluded with a six figure settlement.
Before joining Leigh Day, I trained at a trade union firm where I gained experience across personal injury cases of varying complexity and value. Notably, I supported on a Highway’s Act claim that settled for a seven‑figure sum following a successful split liability trial, as well as several occupational stress claims resulting in significant five‑figure and six‑figure settlements.
I am actively involved with Headway Huddersfield and District, where I sit on the committee, and I have recently joined the fundraising committee for the Leeds branch of the Child Brain Injury Trust. I am also a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and am currently working towards Junior Litigator Accreditation.
Education
I graduated from the University of Huddersfield in 2021 with a First Class LLB (Hons) degree. I qualified as a solicitor in February 2025 after successfully completing the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations.
