Associate Solicitor
James is an associate solicitor in Leigh Day’s employment department. He joined Leigh Day as a trainee solicitor in 2018 and qualified as a solicitor in 2020. He specialises in employment and discrimination law.
Legal expertise
James acts for claimants in high-profile and complex employment and discrimination cases.
He is representing thousands of store workers in the Co-op equal pay litigation and has helped to bring worker status claims for associate dentists.
James also acts for individual clients and advises them on settlement agreements as well as matters involving discrimination, harassment and victimisation in the workplace.
Recognition
James was recognised as a key lawyer in both the “Employee/unions” and “Group litigation: Claimant” areas in the Legal 500 2024 rankings.
Education
James graduated from the University of Nottingham with a first class degree in Politics and completed the GDL and the LPC at the University of Law.
