Former Trainee Kriya is now an assistant solicitor
Kriya A Solicitor Medical Negligence Department

As a firm that pride themselves on taking on challenging cases and seeking justice for a plethora of vulnerable Claimants, I was eager to commence my training contract at Leigh Day.

My first seat was in the Personal Injury team with Sally Moore. Within my first few months as Sally’s trainee I had the opportunity of attending several client meetings, conferences and settlement meetings for numerous cases in which our range of clients included cyclists, pedestrians and passengers who had sustained life changing traumatic injuries. I found the work incredibly interesting and rewarding and thoroughly enjoyed my year in the department.

I am currently undertaking my second seat in the Clinical Negligence department where I am assisting Nicola Wainwright and Emmalene Bushnell. Before joining Leigh Day I worked as a paralegal in medical law and was, therefore, very keen to continue gaining experience within this field. I have always enjoyed working in clinical negligence as I find the interlink between the application of the law and the, often complex, medical foundation of such claims fascinating. I have a lot of client contact which has been invaluable in terms of understanding the trauma that our clients have been through. It really does make the hard work, on what are usually very challenging cases, all the more worthwhile.

Make. Every. Day. Count.
