Settlement of claims against Flamingo Group for allegations of abuses in Kenya
Leigh Day represented 192 claimants against Flamingo Group International and its subsidiary, Flamingo Horticulture Kenya Limited. The claims were based on allegations of abuses by security guards and other individuals employed by Flamingo Horticulture Kenya Limited.

Leigh Day is pleased to announce that a confidential settlement has been agreed between the parties. In addition, Flamingo has agreed to take steps to benefit the wider communities surrounding the Ibis and Siraji Farms, including investment for three projects to improve access to safe drinking water. Flamingo has also agreed to develop and maintain a world-class Operational Grievance Mechanism consistent with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
The remaining terms of that settlement are confidential between the parties.
Leigh Day shall be making no further comment on these proceedings other than this statement.
