Reem is an associate solicitor in Leigh Day’s employment department and specialises in discrimination, harassment, modern slavery and worker status group claims.

Legal Expertise

Qualifying in September 2024, Reem works in Liana Wood’s team, which specialises in discrimination and harassment claims particularly those involving Palestinian identity and beliefs as well as modern slavery and worker status group litigation, including high‑profile matters such as Addison Lee. She also works on a wide range of general employment disputes on behalf of claimants.

Reem completed her legal training at Leigh Day. Her trainee seats spanned Human Rights (HRA claims, inquests, and Court of Protection—health and welfare) and Personal Injury with a focus on Court of Protection (property and financial affairs), giving her a strong grounding across civil liberties and working in highly sensitive and vulnerable situations, including capacity‑related work.

Further experience

Before qualifying as a solicitor, Reem spent six years as a senior social worker in family support and child protection. She managed complex caseloads involving highly vulnerable children and families, often in situations of poverty, immigration challenges, abuse, neglect and family breakdown This has equipped Reem with deep practical experience in safeguarding, public law decision‑making, and working with vulnerable families.

Reem also serves as a Unite workplace representative.
