Izzy is an associate solicitor in the medical negligence department.

Izzy is an Associate Solicitor in the medical negligence department, assisting Michael Roberts with his varied caseload. Their cases include claims arising out of orthopaedic, birth and neurological injuries, fatal claims, and claims involving delayed diagnoses of cancer and other serious physical or psychiatric illnesses.

Izzy also has experience with representing bereaved families at inquests, supporting them through the legal process.

Legal expertise

Izzy has assisted the team in bringing resolution to a range of complex and sensitive matters. Notable examples include:

  • Assisting the team in achieving a six‑figure settlement for a client in a case involving the delayed diagnosis of a complex neuro‑spinal injury.
  • Working on a claim where the team successfully negotiated a six‑figure settlement following the death of a 34‑year‑old man who suffered a complete airway obstruction.
  • Assisting in representing a family at a jury inquest arising from a choking incident in a mental health hospital which subsequently led to the individual’s death.

Previous experience

Izzy graduated with a First-Class Honours Degree in law from the University of Nottingham in 2022. Since graduating, she has worked exclusively within the Leigh Day medical negligence team alongside various members of the team.
