Toby Wilton's Profile Picture
Toby is a solicitor who works in the clinical negligence department.
Toby undertook his training contract at the firm from 2017 to 2019. As part of his training contract, Toby completed his first seat in the human rights department, where he worked on a variety of private and public law claims on behalf of prisoners, including Human Rights Act, discrimination and negligence claims. 
Toby completed his second seat in the clinical negligence department, where he worked on a wide range of cases, including cases involving delay in diagnosis of cancer or other illnesses, issues of consent, negligent surgical care and claims on behalf of women who have suffered gynaecological injury. Toby also assisted on cases representing families where relatives had died as a result of negligent medical care.
Prior to completing his training contract at Leigh Day, Toby worked for several years at Reprieve, where he represented people facing the death penalty in the USA, Asia and Africa.
Toby completed his undergraduate degree in History at the University of Oxford before converting to law, completing his Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course with distinction.
