Training Contracts
Leigh Day & Co is committed to the Law Society training scheme and the provision of structured quality training placements for trainee solicitors. Leigh Day & Co usually recruits its Trainee Solicitors one year in advance. We are now accepting applications for Training Contracts commencing September 2011.
Leigh Day & Co is committed to equality and diversity and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
Trainees at Leigh Day & Co do not have case loads of their own but work closely with one or more of the senior lawyers in the firm and assist with all aspects of that lawyer's work. These are busy and demanding roles and a high standard of performance is expected with the ability to deal sensitively with clients and experts. Successful applicants will have good IT skills and be effective communicators. Strong written & verbal skills are a must have together with the ability to manage tasks in an assertive, efficient and timely manner. A proven commitment to the type of work we do would be an advantage. Please click here to download a job description.
Candidates please note that it is a requirement of the firm that your training contract will be for the full two years (2011-2013) and any previous experience gained elsewhere and at Leigh Day & Co will not be considered as time to count.
Closing date for applications: Thursday 18th March 2010 (by close of business). Candidates short listed to attend an initial interview will be interviewed week commencing 19th April 2010.
