Manufacturers of the Silzone heart valve are the subject of a medical monitoring class legal action, filed in Minnesota on behalf of 10 – 14,000 of the valve’s recipients in the European Union. After Angela Cannings’ conviction for killing her three children was overturned, it prompted a review of 258 cases where parents were sent to jail for murdering their children. However there are still 5,000 British children who have been taken into care or adopted because their parents were accused of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy (MSbP).
