Pillion passenger receives damages

23 November 2009

Sally Moore has recently concluded a claim for a young Polish woman who suffered orthopaedic and brain injuries following an accident on 5 October 2003 which occurred when she was riding pillion passenger on a motorbike.

The case was complicated by virtue of the fact that the claimant sustained a head injury which compromised her ability to work and affected other aspects of her life. It involved liaising with doctors in Poland and England – the claimant having returned to live with her family after her accident. The case settled for £210,000.

Sally Moore said, "the claimant is relieved that the process is now over and she can focus on her ongoing rehabilitation."
