Harriet is a solicitor in the consumer law and product safety department. She joined the firm shortly after qualifying as a solicitor in October 2016.
Harriet acts for students in breach of contract claims against their College or University. Given the large sums students are currently paying in tuition fees and high interest on student loans, Harriet is passionate about enforcing students’ consumer rights when their courses/degrees have not been delivered with reasonable care and skill.
Harriet also represents claimants in group actions. She is currently part of the Allergan breast implant team who are investigating a potential group claim for women affected by Allergan textured breast implants. Harriet also acts for women who have suffered with systemic health problems due to Dow Corning silicone breast implants.
Harriet was part of the team that represented over 150 claimants in the DePuy Pinnacle Metal on Metal Hip Group Litigation. She undertook and supervised a large disclosure review and was heavily involved in the case management of preparing for a fourteen week-long trial in the High Court. Harriet arranged and managed the trial software, gaining significant experience in electronic trial technology.
Prior to joining the firm, Harriet has successfully acted for claimants in professional negligence claims, in particular financial services litigation. She also gained experience in commercial litigation and divorce and family law whilst working as a senior paralegal at Stewarts Law LLP.
Harriet is currently on maternity leave.
