About Leigh Day
We are a top 100 law firm committed to claimant-only cases, ensuring that individuals have the same access to justice as the UK Government and large corporations. We are not afraid to take on difficult and challenging cases, and our areas of practice include discrimination in the workplace, defective products, financial services and human rights abuses in this country and overseas.

About the Department
Our Employment team provides comprehensive, supportive and cost effective employment advice and representation to the full range of working people who find themselves in dispute at work. We act solely for claimants and have an international reputation for doing so. The department is made up of specialist teams, bringing employment, discrimination, equal pay and pension claims on behalf of individuals and groups working across every sector.

About the role
We have an opportunity for a Solicitor (circa 1-3 years pqe) to join a specialist team in Manchester primarily focused on the development of individual claimant work, led by a very experienced Associate Solicitor team leader who has been cultivating and growing the profile of the team as a resource for individual claimants on a nationwide basis from the Manchester Office for the last few years. Whilst the role is wide ranging and may involve work on any area of that team’s work as directed, including some of that team’s group work away from Equal Pay, the successful candidate will be primarily expected to acquire, develop and grow their own claimant caseload under the supervision of the team’s leader.
