About the team
Our highly acclaimed Personal Injury (Consumer Law and Product Safety) Department has become the leading specialist team in the UK, ranked Band 1 in Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 winning landmark cases for individuals and groups.
The team are renowned for taking on complex and challenging cases and gained recent notoriety for pursing a number of high-profile allergy cases representing the families of Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, Owen Carey and Celia Marsh who died as a result of undeclared allergens.
The team have also successfully represented over 600 Claimants with failed Metal on Metal hip components, causing catastrophic injuries requiring early revision surgery. This group litigation has been described as one of the “biggest disasters in orthopaedic history”.
The team are currently pursuing compensation for a community for injuries resulting from pollution emitted from a Landfill.
About the role
We have an opportunity for an Associate Solicitor to join the team to conduct complex product liability cases on behalf of our clients to the highest standards and to assist with the development of new cases.
The successful applicant will be working on a group of ground-breaking claims on behalf of individuals who have been seriously injured or bereaved as a result of COVID-19 AstraZeneca vaccination. These claims are high-profile, complex and will be progressed alongside the COVID19 Inquiry. This work is challenging, but potentially hugely impactful in shaping vaccination policy and future pandemic preparedness.
