Sarah Askew's Profile Picture

Sarah is a solicitor working with Bozena Michalowska-Howells specialising in product liability and group claims. She has recently passed her Civil Higher Rights of Audience exams and currently acts in the high profile DePuy Pinnacle group litigation representing individuals affected by defective metal on metal hips. Her current cases also include acting on behalf of hundreds of women with ruptured breast implants in an international settlement. 

Sarah joined Leigh Day in 2013 as paralegal in the clinical negligence department. She has assisted on a variety of complex high value medical negligence cases, including amniocentesis and spinal injury claims. During her second seat in the product liability department she development a keen interest in defective products and consumer rights cases and went on to qualify into the department.

Prior to joining Leigh Day, Sarah read law at the University of Leeds and completed an internship with Queensland Parliament on the deterrent effect of harsher sentencing before going on to head up a legal advice team at a national firm providing employment, family and social welfare law advice.
