Kate Whiting's Profile Picture
The abuse team treated me with great sensitivity and were professional throughout. They were communicative and available and made sure that I understood each step of the complex legal process. Special thanks to Kate Whiting. – Non-recent abuse client
I would highly recommend Leigh Day for the unsurpassable level of professionalism, dedication and empathy shown by Kate Whiting and her team. – Non-recent abuse client
Kate is a solicitor working with Alison Millar in the abuse team.

Kate began her training contract at Leigh Day in September 2013, assisting Suzanne White, a partner specialising in inquests and cases involving birth injuries and brain and spinal injuries. Kate then spent her second seat of training in the abuse team, working on cases of non-recent child abuse, and cases on behalf of adults and children at risk of harm.

Kate qualified into the abuse team in October 2015, and assists Alison Millar with a wide range of cases, including cases involving human rights violations. She has a particular interest in claims on behalf of children with special educational needs, and claims on behalf of individuals who have suffered abuse in healthcare settings, including within the NHS.

Before Leigh Day, Kate worked as a paralegal at Turpin & Miller Solicitors, Oxford, after graduating with a first class honours in Law from Oxford University.

What clients say about Kate

"At first, I was overwhelmed by the prospect of a complicated legal process and having to relive what had happened. In addition, the fact that the nurse was acquitted for the charge relating to me further compounded my distress. The exceptional team at Leigh Day swiftly alleviated my anxiety and despite having no legal training myself, I found the process to be surprisingly straightforward.

"Thanks to the expertise and resoluteness of Kate I can now move on with my life."
