Brian studied Law at Queen’s University, Belfast and qualified in September 2009 having gained experience in the field of personal injury including catastrophic injury claims.
He joined the product liability team at Leigh Day in 2011 and specialises in claims arising from defective medical devices and drugs. He has a solid understanding of scientific and medical issues and has worked with leading experts in the field of pharmacology, psychiatry, epidemiology, orthopaedics and care. 

Brian currently acts in a number of complex and high value claims for claimants in the ASR litigation who have suffered significant mobility problems following early failure of their metal-on-metal hip replacements.

He leads a group action against Sanofi Aventis in the Acomplia litigation for claimants who suffered severe depression and suicidality following their prescription of a diet drug. 

He is acting for the family of a child affected by the bacillus cereus outbreak in neonatal units throughout UK hospitals thought to stem from a contaminated batch of baby feed. 

Brian is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and is accredited as a litigator by APIL.
