​Four former teachers at Sussex school charged with sexual offences

Four men who taught at Christ's Hospital School in Horsham, West Sussex, a co-educational independent boarding and day school, have been charged with a number of sexual offences.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between 1980 and 1996 and relate to 14 alleged victims.
 
The details of the charges are:
 
  • Gary Dobbie, 66, charged with seven counts of indecent assault on a male, and one count of attempted indecent assault on a male and three counts of indecent assault on a female.
  • James Husband, 67, charged with five counts of indecent assault on a female and four of rape.
  • Ajaz Karim, 62,  charged with nine counts of indecent assault on a female and one of attempted indecent assault on a female.
  • Peter Webb, 74, charged with six counts of indecent assault on a male.
 
All four men are due to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on 9 August 2017.
