There are 7 million disabled people of working age in the UK and many of them experience significant disadvantages in the workplace.
lawyer Emma Satyamurti
introduces our survey which shows that despite the introduction of anti-discrimination legislation some 20% of disabled
people feel unsupported and discriminated against on a range of measures.
Emma says of the survey:
"We found that 20 years after the Disability Discrimination Act came in, it's still a nuanced picture. Some conclusions surprised us, but sadly other finding reinforced the picture already familiar from the concerns and difficulties our clients bring to us".
