Daniel specialises in complex personal injury claims, particularly asbestos disease claims and other industrial disease matters.
Daniel spent two years training at Lawfords solictors before joining Leigh Day & Co in September 2003 when he qualified as a solicitor. He is accepted as a senior litigator of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. He acts for claimants throughout the UK and overseas making urgent claims for compensation where the victims' diagnosis gives them a very limited life expectancy and he regularly represents people in the High Court and at inquests on asbestos disease matters. His notable cases include S v Circaprint Limited [2005] in which he achieved the highest award for pain and suffering in a mesothelioma claim and established authority for an award of "loss of a husband's affection" in a widow's fatal accident claim. Daniel has also represented latex allergy sufferers and in Furphy v MoD achieved an award exceeding £1/4M for a former RAF sergeant who lost her career due to latex allergy.
Daniel advises on the Asbestos Sub-Committee of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Occupational Safety and Health. He also advises victims of asbestos disease at the Barking & Dagenham Asbestos Victim Support Group. In July 2008 he was elected Secretary of APIL's Occupational Health Special Interest Group
He has been accepted as a senior litigator by APIL.
Daniel is a keen runner and completed the London Marathon in 2004 and 2008. Time permitting he enjoys surfing on the UK South Coast and in Devon.
