Burst water main floods houses

22 June 2009

A water main that burst in Tulse Hill, London recently led to water and sewage flooding into the basements and gardens of local residents.  A Thames Water spokesman said that it was possible that sewage from houses’ internal systems might also have flooded buildings. Insurers for the water company were thought to have visited houses to assess the amount of damages and any compensation that might be due to residents.
