A jump too far?

04 June 2009

Two members of Leigh Day & Co’s Personal Injury team, Zahra Nanji and Laura Bumpus, are joining over 90 other professionals to skydive their way to raising money for the road safety charity BRAKE. On 28 June 2009 Zahra and Laura will be flown to 13,000ft from Maidstone airfield, where they will jump out of the light aircraft and plunge their way towards the earth in the hope to increase awareness of the charity and raise over £1000 between them to support the invaluable work the charity do.

BRAKE aims to prevent death and injury on the roads through education of all road users and campaigning for road safety. They also provide support to people bereaved or affected by serious injury in a road crash through support services by their division BrakeCare. BRAKE understand that accidents on the roads can so often be easily avoided. They have put in place a 12 point action plan to slow road users down, make them think about how their actions could endanger other road users and to reduce the number of  tragic deaths which occur everyday on UK roads.

Leigh Day & Co specialise in obtaining compensation and rehabilitation for victims of road crashes.  Some injuries can be life changing and our team understand the devastating impact a car accident can have on the lives of victims and their families.  Leigh Day & Co are proud to support BRAKE in raising road safety awareness and would encourage you to look at the 12 point list and make your pledge to drive safely.

The 12 point list and pledge can be found at on BRAKE's website here
