Zahra is a member of Leigh Day’s specialist
personal injury team. She qualified as a solicitor in May 2006 having undertaken her training contract at Powell Spencer & Partners. She joined Leigh Day & Co in August 2007.
Zahra has a special interest in complex and catastrophic injuries, and in particular construction site and
work place accidents. Zahra has experience dealing with a range of injuries including, severe burns,
amputation, paralysis and complex orthopaedic injury.
Zahra also assists on a range of
occupational illness claims involving workplace exposure to
asbestos which has resulted in the development of diseases such as mesothelioma, asbestosis, lung cancer and pleural thickening.
Given her special interest in health and safety law, Zahra writes the health & safety update in the Solicitors Journal every quarter.
Zahra is a Member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and is accredited as an APIL Litigator.
