Rachel is a solicitor assisting
Camilla Palmer in the
discrimination team at Leigh Day & Co. Rachel studied Social Anthropology at the University of Cambridge. She joined the firm on qualifying as a solicitor in October 2010, having trained at Bird & Bird LLP.
Rachel specialises in all aspects of employment and discrimination law. She has advised and litigated on:
- Discrimination, harassment and victimisation
- Redundancy
- Flexible and part-time working
- Whistle-blowing
- Unfair dismissal
- Compromise agreements, including high value settlements for senior executives
Rachel acts for employees in all sectors but she has particular experience of advising those in the media, law, financial services, and public sectors. She has acted in Employment Tribunal, County Court and High Court matters as well as appeals including to the Court of Appeal.

Rachel has worked with Camilla and Miriam O’Reilly to launch the
Women’s Equality Network, a peer-to-peer support network for women experiencing discrimination at work.
