Charlotte Skouby is a solicitor working with Alison Millar in the Human Rights Department. Charlotte qualified in September 2011, having joined Leigh Day & Co in 2009 as a trainee. Charlotte assists Alison with her diverse human rights practice as well as her clinical negligence case load.
Charlotte assists Alison Millar on cases involving access to community care and healthcare and medical ethics, human rights claims, representing families at inquests, and more recently with best interests proceedings in the Court of Protection.
Charlotte has a particular interest in education law, assisting in acting for parents in appeals to the First-tier Tribunal (Special Educational Needs & Disability) as well as in relation to disability discrimination claims and claims for judicial review to the Upper Tribunal.
Charlotte read French and Philosophy at Edinburgh University and worked at Scott Moncrieff Harbour & Sinclair Solicitors in mental health law before joining the firm. Charlotte was Student Director of the Pro Bono Centre at BPP Law School and volunteered with the Free Representation Unit (FRU) and the not-for-profit organisation Law for All before starting her training contract at Leigh Day & Co.
